I actually found this in a Betty Crocker Holiday 2000 book at a cash counter in Denver CO. I have made this every year since. It pairs well with B.C. Cherry Glazed Ham as well as their Rosemary Roasted Chicken (both were in the same book). I HAVE added more cheese and it stands just fine. Havarti cheese can usually be found in the deli (with the Goudas and Feta) section of almost any grocery store and is well worth using. The smoky flavor can not be beat. Supper easy to make ahead as well.

This was a great recipie. Cooked them for Mother's Day Dinner and everyone loved them. The only comment I received from everyone was to next time add more cheese to the mixture.

If you are tired of regular old mashed potatoes you HAVE to make these. "Classy mashed potatoes" is what I call them. I would really try to find the cheese that the recipe calls for - I found it in the regular grocery store and it is delicious. Fantastic!

These are the best. Took them to my sisters for Christmas dinner, now I was told I''ts going to be a tradional dish each year. My sis Is very hard to please & when she said that I was very proud. They were a hit with everyone!
