I made this for my family for Thanksgiving and we all loved it. My only problem was that the cookie crust rose too high which killed the crust to filling and topping ratio. Next time I'll be sure to flatten it out a bit while its still hot. I might also either use more caramel or less chocolate on top. It is truly tasty and can feed more than you'd think because you can cut small pieces since it is so rich.

No review yet. I have a tart pan but it does not have a removable bottom. Can I still use it? This recipe sounds fabulous.

The tart turned out beautiful but MY OH MY, this is one SWEET dessert. You only need a very small piece as others have mentioned. I won't make it again because it was just TOO MUCH of everything- too much caramel, too much chocolate, too much oatmeal cookie crust. But did I mention it LOOKED GREAT.

I had to use my 11 inch tart pan, and I still had to press down the cookie crust before I could add the filling. I also chose to use bittersweet chips instead of milk chocolate, but dark is simply my preference. My mother and I both loved the result! It is very rich, but that's the way I like my desserts.

I needed a quick potluck dish to pass at church. I was on the dessert list. My family loves this recipe, but like everyone else says it is really rich you can only eat a small piece. That is way this dessert is good for pot lucks. You can cut small pieces and not feel bad. Everyone loved it and wanted the recipe. Quick and easy. Also great to pass at the holidays as well. But I also use my own oatmeal cookie dough recipe. and it turned out great.

I made this dessert to accompany my NYE dinner party. At first I panicked because the cookie had risen however it was fine once I pressed the cookie when it was done baking. Everything after that was great and easy. Next time I will make smaller servings or try the variation in the square pan for the smaller servings since it was a little too rich for everyone.
