For a livelier taste, use Monterey Jack cheese with jalapeño peppers in place of the Cheddar.

Decorative sandwich toothpicks are perfect for keeping the cone shape. Be sure to remove toothpicks before eating.

This is a pretty basic recipe, but I am not very good at thinking up sandwiches so it's perfect for me! I just shredded some deli sliced turkey, today for a change I am using leftover rotisserie chicken. And I am using shredded cheddar. With a lower-cal/carb tortilla, it's a great healthy lunch. I do think the cone idea is a little silly, I just roll it up like a wrap because that's a lot easier to eat.

My husband is an invalid and picky, picky, picky, and this recipe, with some modifications, pleased him a lot. I didn''t have any turkey on hand the day I found it, but I did have a left-over baked chicken breast which I cut into strips. This called for Swiss cheese strips instead of Cheddar. Instead of decorative toothpicks, I used two regular picks and topped each one with a small black olive. I served small corn chips and a small container of salsa, making the plate attractive and he was all smiles for a change. Nothing to serve weekly, but to add a little spice to life occasionally, I will be going back to this page.

I have a 3 year old little boy who is a very picky eater. He LOVES this recipe and he loves to make it. It''s also a great dinner to have on a hot summer night.
