Dress up grilled bratwurst with cabbage salad from the deli, and dinner's ready in 15 minutes.
fresh turkey bratwurst
bratwurst or hoagie buns, split
teaspoons honey mustard
cups sweet cabbage salad (from deli)
Heat gas or charcoal grill. Place bratwurst on grill over medium heat. Cover grill; cook 6 to 8 minutes, turning occasionally, until bratwurst are no longer pink in center. During last 1 to 2 minutes of cooking time, place buns, cut sides down, on grill; cook until lightly toasted.
Spread 1 teaspoon mustard on each bun bottom. Top each with bratwurst and 1/4 cup cabbage salad; cover with bun tops.
Try this with chorizo sausage links instead of turkey bratwurst.
Enjoy these sandwiches with favorite summertime accompaniments, such as lemonade, watermelon slices and potato chips.
