I followed recipe exactly and it did not turn out. It hardened but it is sort of chewy when eaten, not crunchy. Also too greasy. The amount of chocolate chips was not enough to spread on the entire candy. When I poured it onto the cookies sheet it was a hot liquid that was running to all sides and it turned out very thin. When I tried to spread the melted chocolate chips over the hot candy, the chocolate started mixing into the candy instead of remaining on top. I have to adjust this recipe and reduce the amount of butter to 1/2 cup and see how that will affect it. It tastes ok if not for being too greasy

First time that I made toffee too. Simple ingredients (i only topped with chocolate chips, no pecans)! I almost burned it because once it gets to hard crack stage it will burn fast! Turned out wonderful! Will make again!

This was the first time i made toffee. It was a disaster. It took me 3 times to get it right. The first time i didnt let it get hot enough so it didnt set up right. The second time was okay but i used a plastic spoon. It melted and i had pieces of plastic in it. Finally the third time i got it right. I poured it in the pan and sprinkled pecans on it then put the chocolate chips. I used Herseys milk chocolate chips and Reeses peanut butter chips. It was soooo good! I will definitely be making it again!
