Instead or putting the mixture in the fridge,I save some and put it in the fridge and put the rest in a big bowl with the steaks. I mix the steaks with the sauce and put them in the fridge for an hour and grill them. I the put the rest of the sauce on with a brush and serve with salad and fresh vegtables. Maybe melon balls for a fresh fruit along with the meal.

It''s to cold to grill out, so I broiled the steaks. They were good, but I know that they would have been much better on the grill. The butter topping would have been better if I had mixed it up in my mixer instead of doing it by hand. I can''t wait till the spring to try this again.

I ran across this recipe & decided to try it to "do something different" with my husbands'' favorite steak- - -T-bone. The only thing I did not use was the lime juice, but I don''t think it hurt the recipe. I thought it was,"out of this world" for something different & all I know is that it did the trick, & totally hit the spot! I loved the freshly ground peppercorns that was used to "blacken" the steaks, whereas I usually use different seasonings & marinate my steaks in a combination of Worchestershire sauce, & Soy sauce, and then throw mushrooms in the marinating sauce (boil it for safety), & then slather mushrooms on finished steak. I''ve used my marinade for many years, but this recipe variation is one that I will definately use often! Keep up the good work- - -love these recipes!
