EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

Traditional tabbouleh is a Middle Eastern dish made with bulgur. Our version features couscous, a tiny pasta.

Tabbouleh Salad Supper is as easy as adding 1 can of garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained. If you replace the chicken broth with vegetable broth, you have a vegetarian meal!

I substituted the couscous with quinoa to make it gluten free, and it also added some extra protein to the salad. This is a great vegetarian meal!

This recipe is fantastic and so versatile! I've put in (on different occasions) chickpeas, some rotisserie chicken, canned tuna, and feta cheese, among other things. Works great as a side dish or as lunch (especially if a protein is added).

The entire family enjoyed this healthy salad. I did add a little zesty italian dressing for a tangy taste.
