The recipe is not clear about needing 1-1/2 pounds of meat but otherwise the recipe is perfect. The meat comes out tender and the sauce is good on the potatoes. Love it!

Cooked this up tonight and family loved it! I did add sliced carrots to the mix and it turned out fabulous. The steak melted in your mouth and the gravy from the juices went great with the mashed potatoes.

My mother married in 1954 and received a Betty Crocker cookbook for her wedding. This recipe was in it and has been our family favorite for many years now. I make it for my husband and his family and they love it too.

I tried this recipe and it came out great, steak very tender. I omitted green peppers and would replace with sliced canned mushrooms instead (personal preference). It was very simple and tasted great over rice!

I really enjoyed this recipe. It was so simple to make. The meat was so tender. I added french style green beans instead of peppers. It's a perfect dish for a diabetic, very low in carbs. If it's not in your diabetic section it should be.

This has been a favorite of ours for a long time. It's easy to make and it's absolutely delicous the next day like an Italian sandwich. The tomatos and peppers make a perfect gravy over your fav mash potatoes!
