Sweet 'n Sour Pork Skillet

Ingredients

cups uncooked dumpling egg noodles (4 oz)

boneless pork loin chops (about 1 lb), cut into 1/4-inch-thick strips
1/2
teaspoon salt
1/4
teaspoon pepper
2
green onions, cut diagonally into 1/2-inch slices
1
pkg (19 oz) Green Giant® Create a Meal!® frozen sweet & sour stir fry meal starter
1
cup chow mein noodles

Directions

  • 1 Cook noodles in Dutch oven or large saucepan as directed on package. Drain; return to Dutch oven and cover to keep warm.
  • 2 Meanwhile, spray 12-inch nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Heat over medium-high heat until hot. Sprinkle pork strips with salt and pepper. Add pork and onions to skillet; cook 5 to 7 minutes or until pork is browned, stirring frequently.
  • 3 Add frozen vegetables, contents of pineapple pouch and frozen sauce from packet; mix well. Cover; cook an additional 7 to 10 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender, stirring frequently.
  • 4 Add cooked noodles; toss gently to coat. Cook and stir 2 to 3 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Serve topped with chow mein noodles.

I really wanted to make this recipe but I could not find the GG Create a Meal Sw & Sour stir fry. I checked three major grocery chains in Chicago and none of them had this item anymore. The manager told me it has been discontinued. Too bad, because I was looking forward to making it.
