Sweet and Salty Brownies

box (1 lb 2.3 oz) Betty Crocker™ fudge brownie mix
Water, vegetable oil and egg called for on brownie mix box
cup crushed pretzels
cup caramel bits
cup honey-roasted peanuts

  • 1 Line 9-inch square pan with cooking parchment paper, leaving paper hanging over 2 opposite sides of pan. Spray paper with cooking spray.
  • 2 Make brownie batter as directed on box using water, oil and eggs. Stir in pretzels, caramel bits and peanuts. Pour batter into pan.
  • 3 Bake and cool as directed on box. Cut into 6 rows by 6 rows.

Expert Tips

Sweet and Salty Bars freeze well. Wrap individually in plastic wrap, and place in a freezer bag. These will keep for 1 month in the freezer.

Additional sweet and salty items that can be used—marshmallows, salted peanuts, candy-coated peanut butter candies, and/or crumbled peanut butter cookies.
