If you bake the cupcakes with the cones ontop how do you get the candies in the cones, like she did on the video? I have made cupcakes using the cones as the cups to bake them in. Kids always loved them. But I think this is cute and I'm going to try it.

I rolled the iced cone in a bowl of sprinkles then set a big gummy octopus on top. Very cute and easy. The kids looved the gummy and it gave a pop of color to the cone. I've tried baking in the cones before and it took a couple of tries to get them right. This seems easier, I'm going to try to cook the cupcake with the cone on top.... we'll see!

SO MUCH FUN TO MAKE AND EAT! Tips I learned: Bake the cupcakes in regular muffin tin with ice cream cone placed upside on each one. Bake with cones on. If you have to save them for more than a few hours, do not store them covered. I made some at night and the cones were getting soggy by lunchtime the next day. The ones I kept uncovered stayed perfect. I cut holes in paper plates for holders to transport them. You could also get some styrofoam at a craft store, or decorate a box and put holes in it.

How do you store these when finished. won't they fall over? Do they have stands for them? I can't wait to make these.

Cupcake cones are a huge hit with kids, but baking inside the cone often results in a soggy cone, especiall if not served the same day it is baked. This recipe eliminates the soggy cone syndrome. I highly recommend using this method... Mine turned out wonderfully.

These were so cute. I made a mistake and tried using some Pillsury Frosting I had on hand and it didn't work at all. The frosting ran all over everything. We ended up not using the 7 that we made that way as they fell over and make a big glob. But when I used the correct ingredents they worked out wonderful. I made them for my granddaughter's 10 Birthday Party and the girls loved them. They all thought they were soooo tight. Will difinally make again...
