Surprise! There's a tasty pocket of cream cheese that bakes in sweet and easy chocolate chip muffins.

The recipe does not state how much batter to set aside to cover the filling with... this information would be helpful

I wasn't impressed with this recipe. They were easy to make; but I found the taste very bland & dry. The 'surprise' cream cheese filling was barely noticeable & adds nothing to the muffin's texture or taste in my opinion. *Note: Cream cheese does come in a 3 oz package as well as the standard 8 oz. Your store may or may not carry it (mine does). I won't be making these again

Excellent taste, but I think the recipe needs some clarification. * The amount of cream cheese says 1 package (3 oz). However, a package is 8 ounces. I used about 3 ounces. * Step 2 fails to mention that you should hold aside some batter to put on top of the cream cheese. * As another reviewer noted, in my gas oven, the muffins took less time to cook, around 15 minutes. * I did not try the sugar on top, because the "Special Touch" was not in the list of steps and I did not notice it. I imagine it would be awesome.

My husband doesn't like cream cheese so I made this without any filling. It still turns out pretty good though. My husband thinks it's good so I would say it's a success.

These cupcakes were good.I was being lazy and forgot to add the filling so I don''t know what that tastes like.I also only cooked them for 20 minutes and they burned a bit, so I suggest you bake them for only 15 or less minutes. Otherwise they were fine.Just a bit bready.

These muffins are excellent. They are always a big hit when I share them with people. The only problem I seem to have is sometimes getting the cream cheese middle the right consistency. Mine usually melt and spread throughout the whole muffin, sometimes coming out the sides.

I like the taste of cream cheese in the muffins. But the muffins were to dry and the cream cheese didn''t sit right with these muffins

These came out pretty good. I used applesauce in place of the oil to make them healthier and they still tasted great.
