I love this salad - there is one similar at O'Charleys and I've never thought to recreate it, until I saw this. My husband and I added mandarin oranges & cranberries to it. We never tried the cheese that this calls for until this - we both like it now.

Yummo!!!! I used Fontanella cheese instead of Gorganzola. It is now one of the things I must bring at any family function :)

For those of us who do not like those blue cheeses, try feta crumbles instead.

I haven't made this yet, but it does sound like my favorite salad from Panera Bread. Theirs also has blueberries and pineapple tidbits in in with a poppyseed dressing. Panera's has no cheese, but the cheese sounds like it would be good.

my favorite summer salad! they have a version of it at panera bread company that has dried apple chips instead of strawberries and they use a low-cal apple dressing. i make it at home with raspberry walnut vinegartte. marlyct- garonzola is tangy and creamy.. do you like blue cheese or maybe a goat cheese would work.

Sounds great!! Haven't tried it yet. Any suggestions for a substitute for the gargonzola cheese?

This is a great salad! Easy & tasty--we grow our own vegetables so it is right out of the garden! Another variation that we do is to substitute an apple for the strawberries & a poppyseed dressing for the vinegarette. Yummy!
