Summer Fruit Sangria Sparkler

Blogger Brooke McLay from Cheeky Kitchen makes a Spanish-inspired sangria with the best fruit of the summer season, including rhubarb, cherries and raspberries. A delicious twist on the classic!

Ingredients

cups sweet red Spanish wine

cups cranberry-raspberry juice

cups pitted cherries

cups fresh raspberries

cups fresh boysenberries

cup thinly sliced fresh or frozen rhubarb

orange, cut into thin slices

lime, cut into thin slices

cups ginger ale
  • 1 Into large pitcher, pour wine and cranberry-raspberry juice. Add all fruit. Refrigerate 6 hours or overnight.
  • 2 Just before serving, add ginger ale to pitcher. Serve chilled.

Expert Tips

Try adding star fruit (carambola), lemon slices and strawberries for even more fruit goodness!

For a kid-friendly version of this recipe, replace the wine with grape juice, and do not marinate it overnight.
