Stuffed Chicken Breasts with Gouda and Spinach
(0 Ratings)
Stuffing chicken breasts is a beautiful way to dress up chicken. Not only do the stuffings add color, they are delicious as well!

I took the basics from this recipe and made it my own. I live in a smaller town and do not have access to gouda cheese, so I grabbed Kraft's 5 cheese italian blend instead. Then like some of the other folks I chopped up some garlic, onions and red peppers then sauteed them. (A spicy pepper would have been great also.) It turned out delicious and moist! I had cous cous and steamed broccoli on the side! Healthy and delicious, just what the doctor ordered!

Love it! However, i hve the Betty Cookbook containing this recipe and it calls for 3 oz. of cream cheese as well as the Gouda. I have made it with Swiss as wel and much prefer the Gouda. Looks great, tastes great and my family and friends loved it.

This was the best. My husband said it was resturant quality and my Dad said it was better than resturant quality and my Dad is a great cook himself. I added chopped onion, green peppers, mushrooms, cheddar cheese and minced fresh garlic-I didn't use nutmeg and I used skinless, boneless and just cut the chicken in half and stuffed it was fantastic-next time I will use the same ingredients but I might add alfredo sauce or cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup. You can't go wrong with this receipe!!

this recipe seemed to take a long time after a long day at work. It also seemed lacking in flavor and the guest said that it seemed like there could have been a better top seasoning mixture than just salt and peper. I agreed. I also used swiss cheese since the grocery store didn't have Gouda Cheese. I just didn't care for it much, but looked nice. I probably won't ever make this again.

This was a very easy recipe. I was a little afraid to use nutmeg. In my mind, nutmeg and chicken does not go together. Most viewers said that it was good. I omitted the nutmeg and used onion powder and garlic powder instead. I know my family and this was going too far in the other direction for them. So I dared not even attempt it with the nutmeg. It was very good.

Wow, this recipe was amazing! I could not find chicken with the skin on at regular grocery stores, so I used boneless skinless. I was worried about baking it and it getting too dry so we decided to bread them, it was a great idea. I used Italian bread crumbs and sprinkled some Garlic Pepper (McCormik) over the stop. Served with long grain rice and white asparagus, it was instantly the most favorite meal I have made. Thanks Betty, as well as the other reviewers for your tips!!

This is a delicious dish. My only problem was shredding the cheese finely causes it all to melt and flow out of the chicken breast. I recommend using a regular size shredder.

This recipe is amazing! It''s very easy & quick to make. Plus it tastes incredible! The only thing I changed when I made it was to use fresh spinach instead of frozen, otherwise, great recipe!

This recepie is one of our favorites! I make some slight modifications to it thought, I use boneless skinless chicken, and just split the chicken in half, insert the stuffing, and cook for a little less time. Nonetheless a GREAT recepie.
