This was VERY good! I ended up using strawberries in syrup (out of the frozen section) instead of fresh strawberries. I would add the strawberries on each individual serving so the cake didn't get so soggy.

This recipe is the best!! I did add more powdered sugar than the recipe called for, but it is absolutely delicious. My boyfriend who doesn't eat sweets that much loved it and wants me to make it for his birthday cake!

It's delicious! I tried dropping it by spoon but that created too flat a biscuit. This is way better. Thanks!

Good, easy recipe, have made several times during local fresh strawberries season. I use buttermilk instead of milk and safflower oil instead of the butter. Have also used batter to make cup cakes. Half of the recipe makes 6 jumbo sized cup cakes.

What a great way to serve strawberry shortcake to a crowd! Delicious, just the way it's written. I prefer my shortcake to be the original type ~ not a fan this dessert when it's made with pound cake regular cake. Thanks for sharing this :)

I cheated and made the cake using a white cake mix. I also added more powdered sugar to the topping to make it a little sweeter. I made it for Mother's Day and everyone enjoyed it very much. I will use this recipe again.

This was on the dry side. I took it to a pot luck and it did not go well. So i am making it again adding pudding to the cake and strawberry glaze to the topping
