cups Cinnamon Burst Cheerios™ cereal, crushed

cup green summer coating candy wafers (about 2 oz)*
Assorted decorating sprinkles

Directions

  • 1 In 3-quart saucepan, heat corn syrup and sugar to boiling over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Cook until sugar dissolves; remove from heat. Add peanut butter; stir until smooth. Stir in cereal until well combined.
  • 2 Spray inside edges of 2 1/2-inch shamrock-shaped cookie cutter with cooking spray. Spoon about ¼-cup cereal mixture into cutter. With piece of waxed paper over cereal, firmly press mixture into cookie cutter.
  • 3 Push cereal mixture out of the cutter onto sheet of waxed paper. Repeat with remaining cereal mixture, spraying cookie cutter as needed. Allow to cool about 30 minutes before decorating.
  • 4 In small microwaveable bowl, melt candy wafers on Medium (50%) 1 minute; stir. Continue to microwave at 15-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth. Spread over top of each treat.
  • 5 Decorate as desired.

If you don’t have a shamrock-shaped cookie cutter, just form the cereal into shamrock shapes.
