I'm baking cupcakes for my daughter’s birthday party this year. We made these and she loved them so much that she wants me to make extras so her friends to take one home with them. Great, more work for me right  I checked online and found that Box and Wrap was a great place to get cupcake boxes. I have stickers, markers, and crayons so the kids decorate their own cupcake box.

Made these with a box of white cake mix instead of the yellow and added sprinkles into the mix before baking for some extra color. Frosted with green and tinted coconut for Easter grass and put little foil wrapped chocolate bunnies on top as well as M&M speckled eggs and Cadbury mini chocolate eggs with Twizzler handles. You have to push the Twizzler in firmly but they stayed in great. Everyone loved them and my son loved helping make them. Will do this again.

I have made these before. They turned out great and were a great hit at the Easter preschool party. In attaching the licorice/flavored twizzler handles, I used the extra-long, decorated toothpicks,(making sure that the ends stuck out and were very loudly decorated) used for olives, cheese, etc. party treats. I also used the edible colored grass strips, snipping them into small pieces to look like blades of grass. Colored coconut would have worked but some people do not like the taste of coconut. As the children took one, we took the toothpicks out. The handles stayed up and attached that way. Grandson loved helping to decorate the baskets with jelly beans and mini Easter-Colored, M & M's.

This recipe is so decieving! The locorice would not stay up or in the cup cake at all! It never looks like the picture! This recipe doesn't even deserve a spoon!

These cupcakes were a lot of fun to make with the kids. Adding Jellybeans is definitely easy for small children. However, we gave up on the licorice for the handle. Even twisting several together we couldn''t get them to stay up. Pipe cleaners sound like a good idea.

My mother has made these cupcakes for years, she also dyes some coconut green and uses it as her "grass" then puts the jelly beans on, and instead of licorice she uses pipe cleaners cut to fit cupcake!!

I make these all the time with my grandchildren and they love making them and most of all, eating them! Easy and fun to make. We use jelly beans and M&M''s the colors of whatever occasion and season we are making them for. You can also use colored pipe cleaners as handles, looks very pretty.

This was the simplest decorative idea I have seen yet. I was able to make these for both my daughters classes and make some for the Sunday School children at church. And they loved them. Thanks.
