Made mini cupcakes for Christmas "cookies". Popped a surprise Maraschino cherry in each one. Make sure the cherries are well drained and pat them dry. Reduce the baking time to about 19 min. Decorate them with red and green or your favorite christmas deco. They were a hit.

I've made these the last two years for hallowwen and brought them into work and they are such a huge hit that I have to make a doiuble batch and they disappear in less than an hour. I plan to make them and bring them into work again this year.

Easy to make and they were delicious. I decorated mine to look like bats. Chocolate licorice for legs, red hots for eyes, candy corn for fangs and chocolate sprinkles for hair. I covered them in chocolate frosting as well.
