I used leftover ham, added potatoes, garlic and substituted chicken broth for water. This was very hearty and delicious! Definetly will make again.

I have been making this soup for years, but not in the last 5. Took my Betty Crocker Cookbook to my cabin and didnt have it at home so am happy to find this website. This soup is yummmmmmy.

Love this recipe. Been married 35 years and first made this from cookbook I received as a wedding present. Always good. Especially on the second day. Becomes very thick and needs to be thinned with a bit of milk.

It taste likes it's missing something.. a spice, but I can't figure it out. It taste like water with vegetables... hmm.
