tablespoons butter or margarine

cloves garlic, finely chopped

cup pine nuts
1/2
teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2
teaspoon salt
1/4
teaspoon pepper

lb fresh spinach, stems removed
2
tablespoons water

  • 1 In 4-quart Dutch oven, melt butter over medium heat. Cook garlic in butter about 5 minutes, stirring frequently, just until golden. Stir in pine nuts, nutmeg, salt and pepper.
  • 2 Reduce heat to low. Gradually add spinach; sprinkle with water. Cover; cook about 5 minutes or until spinach is wilted. Serve immediately.
