I haven't tried this one and probably won't, since the original recipe came out in the 80's using cheeseburger mac. and doritoes i fell in love with it and tore the recipe out to keep it thank God i have it memorized cause it's not on this site and i lost my recipe. but you just add chili powder and cumin and garlic to the cheese burger and then once done add tomotes and green onions with black olives stir serve it over shredded lettuce and doritos and add sour cream!

I though this was excellent especially for being generally healty. My husband was slightly less thrilled but ate his on a tostada shell. I was skeptical at first because of the pasta and that there was no cheese, but I really liked it and will be having the leftovers today for lunch. Thanks!

My wife has a recipe that is exact to this one. She makes it for us all the time and we all love it!!!! We have 2 teenage girls... and we all know how hard it is to please teenagers!

Was wanting something different an this caught my eye, however I was not sure if a pasta would be so tasty with lettuce... I was very wrong and am so glad I decided to take a chance and make this recipe.. It can be somewhat bland but just add some salsa to the mix and Wah-Lah. My 8 yr old daughter thinks if it looks funny it tastes nasty so I already beleived she wouldnt eat it, but to my surprise she didnt say anything, just tried it and ended up eating every bit and still wanted seconds. The family will not quit bugging me to make this again and again. It will definately become a stationary in our family menu of meals.

Are you serious about this recipe? I''ve been making taco salad for over 35 years and NEVER, Never add macaroni. Adding avacado would be great, but never macaroni. All the wonderful spices and taco chips make the recipe. Shame on everyone with the box mixes....and calories...and preservatives.Bet you don''t use this review.
