Ingredients

1/3
cup stir-fry sauce
2
teaspoons chili garlic paste
2
tablespoons vegetable oil
6
cups fresh green beans, trimmed
1
teaspoon sesame seed

  • 1 In medium bowl, mix stir-fry sauce and chili garlic paste; set aside.
  • 2 In 12-inch nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat until very hot. Add green beans. Toss in hot oil and cook 5 to 7 minutes, stirring every minute, until bright green and crisp-tender (mixture may spatter during cooking). Beans will sizzle, blister and brown in spots. Remove from heat.
  • 3 Remove beans from skillet with slotted spoon; add to sauce mixture and toss to coat. Place in serving bowl; sprinkle with sesame seed.

Expert Tips

For recipes like this that tend to spatter during cooking, use a spatter guard screen, available at many department and specialty food stores.

Not a fan of spice? Decrease the chili garlic paste to 1 teaspoon.
