EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

Use spicy pork sausage for an extra-zesty kick to this savory pizza pie.

Fold the circle of dough in half or fourths to easily transfer it to the cookie sheet, then gently unfold on the cookie sheet.

Find jarred process cheese spread in the grocery store near packages of other shelf-stable cheeses.

This pizza crust recipe is amazing. My husband isn't someone who enjoys when I experiment with recipes and try something new, of course that doesn't stop me. He is a meat & potatoes man but one night I had some left over ground beef and I wanted to make something new. I came across this recipe and gave it a try. It was super easy to make and quick too. Instead of filling the crust with marinara and sausage I filled it with mozzarella cheese and ground beef. It was like a gigantic pizza-calzone. And something amazing happened... my husband said, "You can cook this again Babe." 5 stars! :)

I just love this recipe. Instead of cutting the pepper into rings though I cut the peppers in bite size chunks and add pineapple. Just make sure you drain the pineapple really well, it adds alot of liquid. Cooking it on a pizza stone also crisps the crust up nicely.
