I made this for dinner tonight. My family loved it. The only thing I did different was staring the sweet potatoes first. Then cooked the pork chops as directed & put them in with the potatoes. This is easy & a delicious recipe.

This recipe was delicious and easy! I made a few changes because I didn't have all the required ingredients on hand. I used 1 part worcestershire sauce and 1 part water instead of soy, but I think that resulted in the chops being less spicy. I used 1/2 tsp of pumpkin spice instead of cinnamon and ginger (I had no ginger). I used a lot more cayenne then the recipe called for but still not hardly spicy at all. I also used canned yams, drained, because I already had them. I just put them in at the last 10-15 minutes of baking. I'm a beginner cook and I thought this was very easy! Trying to figure out what I can do to add more spice for next time...

Instead of using the sweet potatoes all together hence they take alot longer to bake w/out simmering them 1st I used apples & it adds so much more flavor & being as my hubby hates cranberries I leave them out completely which saves on the bill.. lol

I made this with chicken breasts instead of pork chops and added a LOT more potatoes than the recipe called for (doubled the sauce mixture ingredients too). It took much longer for the potatoes to cook, but because the chicken was covered with the sauce and potatoes, it kept the chicken from drying out. I was shocked at how moist the chicken was after cooking for a longer time. Everyone really liked this! Great for a chilly fall evening.

Delicious! The flavor combination is great - and it's easy. But... Too sweet. Next time I will try 1/2 the amt of marmalade and butter - since it melts, it need only be a glaze, not a full sauce. For my personal taste, I would also increase the spices all around - particularly the cayenne pepper, which got lost. You don't need as much soy or Bisquick (or flour)as the recipe states - just enough to drip and dredge the pork. I halved the sweet potato, then cut in 1/2 inch slices which allowed them to bake easily. I used bone-in chops, just kept the total weight close to 1 lb as per the recipe. Tried Bisquick for coating for the first time and liked the flavor and texture. Will try again, and play with the amounts and proportions - but again, the mix of flavors is excellent

This was delicious. It is sweet, but good! I cut the sweet potatoes in quarters lengthwise to make sure that they cooked....making again for sure.

I found this site yesterday and this was the first recipe I decided to try. It turned out so good even my picky daughter liked it alot! I changed it to make it alittle lighter. First I used skinless, boneless, chicken breasts. I also used light butter. Next time though I am going to try my homemade peach Jam. I also cut my sweet potatoes thinner like the one person recommended and they cooked nice and soft. Rarely have I found a recipe, made it and liked it as well as this one. This one will be one of my regulars.
