Spiced Baked Chick Peas

We added the kick of cayenne pepper to baked chick peas for a satisfying vegetarian snack.

can (15 oz) Progresso™ chick peas (garbanzo beans), drained, rinsed
tablespoon olive oil
teaspoon ground cumin
teaspoon paprika
Dash ground red pepper (cayenne)
Salt to taste

  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. In medium bowl, toss all ingredients until chick peas are coated. Spread mixture in single layer on ungreased 15x10x1-inch pan or cookie sheet.
  • 2 Bake 25 to 35 minutes, stirring halfway through baking time, or until chick peas are dry and toasted.

Expert Tips

If desired, you can remove the skins from the chick peas before tossing with the oil and spices.

Change up the spices to your liking—add more spicy, smoky or sweet, depending on your mood.
