A nice change from the typical mayonnaise-based pasta salad. Try to use fresh basil; it makes a difference! I''m sure it would work with other veggies as well (like zucchini instead of cucumber). Half a can of white beans is a good addition. And it''s still good without the olives; I left them out because we don''t like them. This is a good salad to bring to a picnic or potluck because it travels well.

I thought this recipe was good, the onion was very strong, and I wouldn''t put as much in next time. I also think I will use homemade Italian dressing next time.

A+++++++++ THIS IS THE BEST JUST ADD ARTICHOKE HEARTS,OLIVES AND A LIL PARM. FRESH GRATED CHEESE....TASTES GREAT WITH CHICKEN (CANNED )TOO!!!
