I made this cake and it came out great. I made it for an event for my sons Cub Scout pack where both Father and Son have to make a cake. I am by no means a baker or a cook, and the cake did not look as nice as this one, but structurally it came out fine and we won second place. Unfortunately the boys dug in before I got a picture taken. Please be forewarned, cake is not good for you. I would hate for a health conscious person to make this cake by mistake thinking it was in some way nutritious or good for you. I would suggest before starting the cake to look at the ingredients list and if it has something on the list that you feel is unhealthy avoid making the cake and instead eat carrots.

This cake sucks. I had to buy 3 boxes because the cake quality was terrible and it was crumbling. The fruit rollups are terrible for your teeth and your health. The cake mix is a chemical in a box, so is the icing. If you want to make a good quality cake then make it homemade. P.S. I never finished the cake because I got so frustrated, I called a profesional cake decorater, to help me and she gave me instruction by instruction, and she couldn't even solve, don't ever make this cake!!!

I was searching for ideas for my son''s birthday party, and found this cake. I printed it out, but modified it a little bit. I cooked part of the cake in a Hunt''s Spaghetti Sauce can, and stood it up. I put a sugar cone on the top to make the point, and used poster board to make the tailfins. Either way, this is a cool idea, and the kids (age 10) loved the whole space, alien, astronaut theme. It was cool without being to little kid!
