We tried this & found that the basic recipe had very good flavor. I did not have any corn, so used thawed, mixed veggies. The only thing wrong was the the dough was stiff & way to dry. I will make it again, but without the Bisquick. Possibly make it more like a shepherds pie by subbing instant mashed potatoes.

This recipe was wonderful. My family loved it. It has become one of our new favorites. The only thing I would change is the dough is a little too stiff it needed a little liquid added to it. Even so, it was still great.

Tried this last night and it got high 5's. I used my own salsa (made this past summer) and used 4 cheese Mexican shredded cheese. So, so good. It's now in my recipe book.

While it doesn't taste bad with the Bisquick, it tastes much better with Jiffy mix and sweet corn. Try it!

This recipe was really nothing to write home about. It was just ok. I seasoned the beef as others had suggested and I think the biscuits could have used some seasoning too, they were kind of bland. Overall I think my family will pass on having this again.

This was very tasty and easy to make. I added cheese to the whole recipe. I also used 4 eggs instead of 3 and 1/3 of a cup more of bisquick in order to cover the entire top of the dish. It turned out very nicely.

Ill say what i say about all the casseroles..DONT FORGET TO SEASON THE BEEF!!! lol, its so easy to forget when you are following everything step by step, but if you forget..it will taste bland. but this is the FIRST Betty Crocker recipe i ever cooked years ago, and i love it, I cook it all the time and everyone loves it!

I made this last night with my boyfriend. It was a great meal for two people to make because he could handle the bisquick portion of the meal and I did the skillet. I took everyone's advice and used the taco seasoning, sour cream on the side, and the canned corn with the diced red and green peppers. Next time I wouldn't use mild salsa and instead would go for hot or medium. We used the entire bag of cheese as well. I made it in my cast iron skillet and we made a few additional biscuits to cover the amount of space since the pan was much larger. It was really fantastic and a definite "Do Over" recipe. It cost me about $15 to make the recipe and there's still leftovers for tonight.
