I did everything the way it said in the recipe and used chilies but i wasn't very impressed with it. But i'm determined to try again. It still tasted good just lacked the spicy-ness i was craving!

I changed it up a little and used 3/4 of an Old El Paso Taco seasoning packet, instead of all of the spices listed in the recipe. I also used 2 tablespoons of chopped pickled jalapenos from a jar. Really yummy.

We loved this dip. Reminds us of taco dip w/o the fuss. I'd like to add chopped up jalapenos next time or some tabasco sauce for more heat. Or I will offer jalapenos on the side for those that don't like more heat. I highly suggest giving this a try and playing around w/ingredients. It can only get better. Definately make the day/night before.
