I did everything the way it said in the recipe and used chilies but i wasn't very impressed with it. But i'm determined to try again. It still tasted good just lacked the spicy-ness i was craving!

I changed it up a little and used 3/4 of an Old El Paso Taco seasoning packet, instead of all of the spices listed in the recipe. I also used 2 tablespoons of chopped pickled jalapenos from a jar. Really yummy.

We loved this dip. Reminds us of taco dip w/o the fuss. I'd like to add chopped up jalapenos next time or some tabasco sauce for more heat. Or I will offer jalapenos on the side for those that don't like more heat. I highly suggest giving this a try and playing around w/ingredients. It can only get better. Definately make the day/night before.

this dip is freakin' amazing! i make it every holiday! true, it does taste better if you make it the night before to give the spices time to marinate in each other...feel free to add a little more of the spices than the recipe calls for to add even more flavor! also try adding onions and/or cilantro! enjoy!

This was fantastic the second time around! I made it just as is the first time, but it was missing some zip, so the second time I added chipotle peppers instead of the green chilies, talk about adding fire! We had it for Memorial Day get together and it didn't last long! Will be taking this to my next get together too!

I made this recipe for "appetizer" night at the beach. Every year my family meets at the beach and the first night we all bring an appetizer or two to share. I was really excited about this recipe but it turned out to be a "dud." It just did not seem to have much flavor.

This was just ''ok'', nothing spectacular. I followed the recipe as written. My guests were not impressed and I''d say 90% of the recipe went untouched.

This recipe was fast and easy to make. Its better to make it the night before to give the flavors time to blend. I will definitely make this recipe again.

Very Yummy and easy to prepare. Might be good as the base of a taco dip, taco meat, lettuce, tomatoes, etc on top!

This was easy to make and tastes wonderful! The flavors blend together so well. I made it for a family get together for my husband''s side. They devoured the whole bowl and I doubled the recipe! They made me promise to always make the dip every get together we have. And they get together alot! Very close- knit family. It was the first recipe they have every eaten like that and wanted me to make again and again. Which is a huge compliment since I have been to many, many family gatherings in the past 7 yrs. This recipe is a life changer. :)
