Salsa's great served alone with chips, but mixing and heating it with cream cheese makes a wonderfully warm dip!

I loved this dip! I made it for camp and everyone loved it and I had to make more the next night. I served it cold and added fine shredded taco cheese. But someone suggested ground beef... any thoughts?

This recipe is one that I've made for many years and it's excellent. Just a couple tips: 1. Same ingredients served cold (no heating necessary) is excellent. 2. Also, when I first made this recipe (1980) I put tiny shrimp (already cooked) in and mixed it with the salsa/cream cheese..no heating, just mix and serve cold.

We have been making this dip for along time. Very simple and quick. We also like to serve it cold.

This recipe is almost too easy! I used more salsa than it calls for so it wasn't too pink. The color freaked out some guest but it was a hit overall.

We make this all the time, but we don't warm it up. We mix up in a blender or a hand mixture and serve it chilled. Super yummy!!

Does anyone know if this can be made and kept warm in a miniature slowcooker style dip warmer? I happen to have received one at an office Christmas party and I want to try this dip in it for Christmas day. As you can see I have tried this recipe and love it - I thought it would be simple and inexpensive (really, only two ingredients!) for the holidays.

This recipe is SO simple and SO good. I did the microwave version in the tips for less fuss. Warmed up leftovers would be excellent on baked potatoes as well or mixed into cooked rice for a creamy side dish.
