Snowman Rum Tum Cake Pops

These snowmen are as cute as they are delicious. The cake center is made with spiced rum or armaretto for an extra rich flavor. These little guys would be a welcome treat to your adult buffet table.

Ingredients

1: Box Betty Crocker White Cake Mix

: Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box

1: Tub Betty Crocker Vanilla Whipped Frosting

1: Shot Spiced Rum or Amaretto

1: 20oz Pkg Vanilla Flavored Almond Bark

1: Pkg Black Candy Melts

1: Small Bottle Orange Jimmie Sprinkles

Directions

1 Make and bake cake mix in 13x9-inch pan as directed on box. using water, oil and eggs. Cool completely. Crumble cake into bowl. In a medium bowl, mix spiced rum and frosting. Mix frosting mixture with cake crumbs until it forms a dough.
2 Roll part of the dough into 3/4 inch balls for the body and part of the dough into 1/2 inch balls for the head. Gently place the smaller ball on top of the bigger ball and place them onto waxed paper-lined cookie sheet. Freeze until firm.
3 Remove or break apart the almond bark cubes and place in a microwavable bowl, microwave the bark uncovered on 30% power for 4 minutes, then in 15-second intervals, until melted & stir until smooth. Remove several cake snowmen from refrigerator at a time. Using tongs or bamboo skewer - Dip cake ball into melted almond bark, tap off any excess. Reheat almond bark in microwave or add 1 Tbs vegetable oil if too thick to coat. Place dipped snowmen on parchment paper and put back in freezer and let set.
4 In microwavable bowls, microwave candy melts as directed on the package. With a toothpick or wooden skewer, dot small amounts of black candy melts on snowman to make eyes, mouth and buttons. Use Orange Jimmie sprinkle for the nose.
5 Store snowmen in a air-tight container and keep in a cool place.
