These cookies came out beautifully, just exactly like the picture, but the taste was another story. Like many here, I found them not only to be too sweet, but the cake mix really really came through and tasted very strange. My husband liked them but I was not a fan, and we ended up throwing out half the batch. I used the plain white Betty Crocker cake mix. Maybe it would be better with another type of mix?

It is a bit too sweet, but for a tasty cookie in a pinch -,you can beat these ! I would reduce the sugar by half next time and increase the cinnamon by half- I love cinnamon! These were yummy-made 20. Would definitely make again - it is a great use of cake mix! Oh and I did add 1 tsp of cream of tartar-not sure that it made a difference, but it dd not hurt it either, so I would add again next time just in case....

Made these with 2 sticks of butter, followed the rest of the recipe. Wow...buttery and incredibly good. Spread like a big cookies should with the extra butter add. Baked at exactly 11 minutes. Keeper in this household.

very easy and quick for those times you need to get it done fast. Cooking time may need to be extended for a minute or so, but watch they don't get too brown on the bottom. Next time I will add the cream of tartar to see how big a difference it makes. I got a lot of compliments on them

I really did not like these cookies. They were dry and just too sweet. Will not make again.

I've made these for years using a yellow cake mix. Never thought of using a white cake mix. If I remember my recipe has oil for the fat. Easy to keep the ingredients on hand just in case.
