Cups Tart Apples

Cup Brown Sugar

package Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix

• 1 Preheat oven to 425. Unroll piecrust in pie pan.
• 2 Peel, core and slice apples . Mix apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon zest, and flour. Pour into pie crust.
• 3 Mix remaining cinnamon and sugar together in small shallow bowl.
• 4 Prepare sugar cookie mix as directed on package. Roll two teaspoons worth of dough into balls, then roll in cinnamon sugar mixture. Flatten cookie balls to about 1/4 inch thickness. Place cookie dough on top of apples over lapping slightly.
• 5 When pie top is completely covered with cookies bake in oven for 40-45 minutes. If crust gets too dark, cover crust with aluminum foil.
