My boyfriend and I loved this pasta recipe. The Progresso Starters are so delicious and easy! I added an extra cup of pasta (for lunch leftovers) and it worked out great. I got "Hot" sausage thinking that meant "Heat." It meant Fiery Hot Inferno of Death. Next time I'll use regular sausage.

I tried this recipe the 1st time with sharp smoky cheddar cheese & followed the recipe exactly, everyone loved it. In fact im making it again tonight using smoked gouda instead. This is very quick & easy LOVED IT!

This recipe did not have enough pasta so I ended up using the whole box of penne. I used cubed smoked mozzarella because that is what I had on hand. Added some spicy cheddar on top. It was good and something different. Will make again.

Absolutely loved this recipe. Super easy for a week-night meal. I used 8 oz of Gouda cheese just because I couldn't find 4 oz in the store. Turned out wonderful!!! My husband said this is going to be one of his favorite dishes!! I may add extra tomatoes next time, but wouldn't change anything.

Only change I made was using 4oz of smoked cheese & a little shredded cheddar cheese. I served it with a salad and garlic bread. It was okay, certianly not a favorite. Will only make this once in a while.

I made this recipe and used everything that it called for. As a matter of fact I missed the part where you are only suppose to use half the cheese sauce and add the remaining at the end. So all the sauce was put in at the beginning. I then grated some Cheddar cheese and top it with that the last 5 mins of cooking. I have to say there was no left. Everyone thought it was Great!!!!

Cook aholic, thanks for saying what a lot of us are thinking. We're interested in reading reviews by people who have tried the recipe. Don't care what folks think when just from reading it. We can make up our own minds about fat/sodium/calorie counts. Okay, stepping down from my soap box now. GM

I do not think people should be able to review (I mean actually give a recipe a rating) until they have made it. I made this recipe with a few substitutions and it was great. Reviewing a recipe low just because you "think you might not like something" is not rating it. By doing what you have done you have already given this recipe a "3" and not even tried it. I never heard of such a thing. And, no, this is not my recipe. I used 1% milk and no-salt broth instead of the recipe starter as well as a can of diced tomatoes with no-salt added. I also used some cut-up turkey that I had already cooked so didn't add it til the last along with some cooked broccoli. This isn't as tasty or spicy so I used Mrs. Dash original to flavor it and 1 c shredded swiss which is a lot lower in sodium. Didn't use anything else but the pasta. It is true that this is too much sodium and fat for us as it was but it did give me another recipe idea and I know some people can't start from scratch as often as I have to.
