We did not like this soup. we are big fans of black beans. they were hard, after cooking in the slow cooker 12 hours, no taste whatsoever, very bland, added much spices - actually threw the entire soup out! i have made many, many recipes from this website - and loved everyone one them!!! expect this one, NOT A KEEPER.

This soup was so good! Had enough to pass out to neighbors and they loved it too. I'm a big soup fan and a big bean fan, so any recipe that leaves out the meat and includes the beans I am all for.
