No, you don't have to turn your slow cooker upside down to enjoy this savory pot pie. Pop biscuits in the oven about 30 minutes before it's done, then serve the chicken mixture over the biscuits. Bottoms up!

This recipe was good but the broth ended up runny. Need to add a thickner or something. The taste was good though

Made it tonight and we are now waiting for pizza! Added cream of chicken soup along with milk and heavy cream. Not much flavor. Recipe sure sounded good...

I used chicken breasts as many others have. I added 1 can of cream of chicken soup,1/2 cup milk, 1/4 cup sour cream, 2 bullion cubes and some shredded cheddar cheese. I also added Grands biscuits instead. I always bake the biscuits first.

I agree with the other reviewers who stated that you need to add additional spices to make this dish tastier. I used chicken breasts, fresh onions, homemade gravy and added poultry seasoning, salt & garlic powder. I think I need to add a little more salt next time, but other than that, it came out great.

I made this recipe last night. I used chicken breasts, fresh chopped onion,l jar of gravy and 3 cans of cream of chicken soup, one and half cans of milk, canned biscuits. Cooked for 4 hrs on low and added frozen mixed vegetables and cooked another 4 and 1/2 hrs. Turned out great.

Just made this great dish and as many reviewers have said it is a great base recipe but needs a few additions to make it more flavorful, This recipe alone is pretty bland..I added white wine , salt and a few other seasonings such as poultry seasoning i added real chopped onions in place of the minced jarred ones..I used the grands biscuits instead of bisquick..I also made some basmati rice and i made a nest of rice in the bowl placed the bottoms of the biscuits on top of the rice added the chicken mixture next and topped with the biscuit tops and a little of the broth to soften them...tHe rice adds a little more stock to the meal..and I have to say its a great meal , very hearty and satisfying and the best part its easy...The chicken has a great flavor from simmering all day in the slow cooker ....

For ElicBxn - you can use your own chicken gravy for this recipe. If you have chicken stock, just thicken it a little with flour first. You certainly don't have to use a jar of gravy if you have an allergy.

Would it be possible to make this without the jarred gravy or cream soups because of the corn starch. I could use other veggies to stay away from corn, but I'm deathly allergic to corn and used to love pot pies.

Can not wait to try it. Sounds good & simple. I usually make Bisquick chicken pot pie, which is fantastic. But I thin this will be a nice change. I might take the other Lady's suggestions & use Cream of Ck-in soup & Broth. I wonder if anyone has used chicken breasts instead & how that was. Looking forward to making it this week.
