What an easy and tasty recipe. I added onions, garlic and cumin. Superb. We are always looking for delicious, inexpensive slow cooker meals. I really love most of the chili recipes on the Betty Crocker site.

Husband forgot to add the tomato and tomato sauce and he and the kids still loved it. A good alternative for a meatless dish and a sneaky way to introduce some new foods in the kid's diet. My kids locked the garbanzo beans.

I made this chili and it was delicious. I added onions & banana peppers to it! My husband is a meat lover and I am not and he actually enjoyed it. It has all the good flavors of what chili tastes like without the meat. I will for sure be making this chili again!:)

I've made this chili twice for my family and we love it. The only thing I do different is add ground beef about 2 hours before it's done. I serve this chili with grilled cheese sandwiches. Great for cold days.

I made this chili exactly as the recipe directed (with a "mild" McCormick chili seasoning packet, as not everyone here likes chili as spicy as I do...). It cooked up nicely in about 6.5 hours on low, but I left it on for a couple more hours after we ate, to add some more simmer time. It was certainly tasty the first night, but as I expect from good chili, it was even better as left overs the next day! I will definitely make it again, as it was so affordable (less than $5 for the whole recipe) and I appreciate tasty meat-free meals. If you used a bigger crockpot, you could easily double the recipe.

I made this recipe in my slow cooker because here in New England, we have had record heat! It has been too darn hot to cook anything! I actually left out the lentils and cooked it on high for about 5-6 hours and it still turned out awesome. What made it even better was that I put the cooker on warm and let it cook overnight for another 8 hours. It was DELICIOUS the next day.
