Your slow cooker can be a lifesaver during holiday meals when sweet potatoes are a must and the oven is stuffed with turkey or ham and other fixings.

Awesome! Loved it. Very nice that it's made in the slow cooker.

Not only is this the lifesaver it claims to be because of the slow cooker method, but it has become my FAVORITE sweet potato recipe because they are SO good! I found this recipe a few years ago, and have made it numerous times for myself and for pot-lucks. If you have found this recipe and it's last minute - use the canned yams, but don't have to cook for as long.

The slow cooker is my best friend around the holidays and this recipe is wonderful and so tasty. It's even good with butternut squash. I love using the applesauce with the yellow vegetables. Give it a fresh flavor.

Delicious recipe. Everyone at Thanksgiving table loved it. So easy and does not require space in the oven. I put the sweet potatoes in the crockpot first and then put the turkey in the oven. It was just one less vegetable that I had to worry about.

This can be made in a slow cooker that has a separate base. It may take a litte longer. I made this for Thanksgiving dinner and it went over very well. I do not one like sweet potatoes but I even ate these. Thanks for the great recipes.

Well this was a sure hit at our Thanksgiving dinner! I had limited cooking space in the oven so using my slow cooker was a great help and pretty much care free. I already have requests to make this again. I used 3 lg yams and the same amount of sugar and applesauce and it was not too sweet at all yet had great flavor. Thank you.

I just made this as a test since I was asked to bring Sweet Potatoes for Thanksgiving. This recipe needs some tweeking. It is too sweet and, as much as I love cinnamon, it needs nutmeg. This year, I'll be sticking to the "King's Arms Tavern Sweet Potatoes" casserole (cook the potatoes, mash, mix in the brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and milk, then bake).

I made this last Thanksgiving and my family loved it. I've got requests for it again this year! I actually made it with Splenda Brown Sugar blend and it was wonderful.
