Slow-Cooker Spanish Chicken

lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces

lb turkey Italian sausages, cut into 1-inch pieces

large red bell pepper, chopped (1 1/2 cups)

large onion, chopped (1 cup)

cloves garlic, finely chopped

teaspoon dried oregano leaves

to 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper

can (28 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained

can (6 oz) tomato paste

can (14 oz) artichoke heart quarters, drained

can (4 oz) sliced ripe olives, drained

cups hot cooked rice

  • 1 In 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker, mix all ingredients except artichoke hearts, olives and rice.
  • 2 Cover and cook on Low heat setting 6 to 8 hours.
  • 3 Stir in artichoke hearts and olives; heat through. Serve with rice.
