I love this recipe! Well, let me clarify more, I love anything made with a slow cooker! But this recipe is awesome. Now I did deviate from the recipe. In fact I tried different meats and my own homemade salsa, and all turned out pretty great! Once cooked they freeze well for a meal on a later date. I would definitely say to add this to your recipe book and use it at least a couple of times a month. Should be a family favorite ast well.

I modified the recipe using stew meat, added mixed vegetables and whole grain noodles. It was a big hit with my family. I will be making it again.

Loved this recipe and it was so easy. I did not add the salsa however as we don't care for that flavor so much. But I did add some onion and used beef broth instead of water when I made the packet of gravy mix. This made the flavor stand out immensely. The meat was so tender and juicy and went perfect with the noodles. Next time I will try it over garlic mashed potatoes as I'm sure this will taste even better. Husband loved it! Need I say more?

Loved this recipe! I used a meat mallet on the steak before slicing as per the comments about it still being tough after 10 hours. And I only used 2 pounds of round steak, and cooked it for 11 hours. The extra time wasn't necessary as it was fork tender, falling apart when removing from the crock pot. Very tasty, using your favorite salsa.
