I didn't think this had much flavor even after I added additional seasonings. This is not a recipe that I would be interested in making again.

This chowder was great! Was a little thick, but I will definitely make again. So much better than canned chowder!

It was a very easy recipe. The chowder was a little bland, so I added hot sauce to my personal bowl.

I made this in 2010 for "just something" for my family to eat of an evening on Christmas night. They said they wouldn't be all that hungry and it would something I could put in the freezer if any leftover. There wasn't a teaspoon left. Making it again this year and hoping for the same response!!!! :)

My daughter and I have always loved cream of potato soup and when I saw this recipe, it caught my eye and I just had to try it. Before serving I added chopped scallions, more crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar. My daughter went nuts so I'll definitely be making this again! Just as good without the bacon which makes it meatless and vegetarian worthy.

I added two cups of shredded cheddar cheese and cooked with a pork jowl but still thought it was missing something. It was good but can be better with a little experimenting.

Delicious! I didn't have the evaporated milk on hand so I used 2% milk. I'm sure it is much richer with the evaporated milk but this worked great. Since I love to use garlic in any recipe that I can get away with it, I added some along with some dill. My husband suggested that the next time I add some cut up hard boiled eggs before serving.

This is a favorite in my house. I do use raw potatoes and it turns out wonderful. It is also great base recipe to add to, like diced ham or chicken, to make a heartier meal.
