I really liked this stew. I have only made a few different types of stew in my crockpot and this is by far the best one. I did however add corn and green beans (frozen) to the recipe and I add some water about a cup and I think I would double that the next time. I also didn't peel the potatoe's and it was still good. I then adding more beef buoillion to it to adjust for the water... Serve it with a great loaf of your favorite bread and it hits the spot.... Love Love Love it!!!

This stew was the best ever, Like my Grandmother use to make. I have tried so many recipes and been disappointed, this one hit the spot! Have already shared this recipe with many. A great meal for a fall or winter day. Smells awesome too!! This was a recipe I even took with us when we went on our ski vacation, nothing like coming in from the slopes to a hot mug of stew.

Oh my gosh! This is wonderful! It was extremely easy to make and absolutely delicious!! This is definitely a keeper and one to use when guests are coming. I wanted to keep some to take to work for lunch tomorrow, but I don't think any will be left. :)

I made this for the first time and it was AWESOME. I was leary letting it go all day while I was at work (9 hrs),hoping it would not be a dried out mess when I got home. It was perfect! I am not particulary fond of beef stew, but I really enjoyed this recipe. Will definately make again!!!

Made this yesterday morning and we loved it. It took me longer to do the prep than the recipe said (maybe I am a slow chopper). I followed the recipe except I didn't take the time to brown the stew meat first and it was okay. Saved me a step. Since I was a little late getting it started I put it on low for 3 hours then cranked it up to high for 2 hours. Back to low to for the next 3 hours and it was done perfectly. Excellent recipe and will absolutely be making it again. Thanks for a another gem!

I just put this on. I guesstimated on the veggie amounts. Which may not have been a good idea because my liquid level was too low and I had to add a little water. For the bullion I did not have graduated so I crushed cubes (3= 1 Tbl). I cooked the meat on med/low while I prepare everything else to save time. It did not burn and was still pink/red when I added it to the crock pot!!! I'm not a fan of soup/stew so I'm hoping to be pleased with the outcome!!!!

Easy and Delicious! I've made it a few times now, we love it! It's a great dish to come home to after work on a cold night, when you don't want to cook. It's cooking for tonight, can't wait to get home and smell it cooking and dive in to a bowl of hot stew! I use baby carrots, and just dump in a whole 1 lb bag, about 3 celery stalks and a half a 5lb bag of potatoes. DELICIOUS!
