Tips from the Betty Crocker Kitchens

  • tip 1
Just leave out the coffee and cinnamon to make this recipe more kid friendly. After all, what's a winter party for kids without hot cocoa? Serve it with plenty of marshmallows to float on top, or stick a candy cane into each mug of cocoa.
  • tip 2
This recipe is easy to cut in half for a treat for the family. Just use 2 1/2 cups dry milk, 1/2 cup cocoa, 1/3 cup sugar, 5 1/2 cups water and 1 teaspoon vanilla in a 2- to 3 1/2-quart slow cooker. You can decide whether you want to include 2 tablespoons instant coffee and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon.
