Slow Cooker Marinara Sauce with Mozzarella Cheese Dip

Instead of making mozzarella sticks with marinara dipping sauce, stir the cheese into the sauce for a hot and a hearty appetizer.

cups chunky marinara sauce
ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, cubed
tablespoons chopped fresh basil leaves
loaves (10 ounces each) baguette-style French bread, cut into 96 slices (about 1/2 inch thick), toasted
  1. Pour marinara sauce into 1 1/2-quart slow cooker.
  2. Cover and cook on Low heat setting about 2 hours or until hot.
  3. Stir in cheese and basil. Cover and cook on Low heat setting 30 minutes or until cheese is just starting to melt. Serve with baguette slices.
Makes 24 servings (4 slices baguette and 2 tablespoons dip each)
