I used the basic idea of this Slow Cooker meal. However, after reading some of the other reviews I made some early changes. I cooked the turkey as directed but for only 3 hours. Instead of water I used about 2 cups of chicken broth. Having cooked the turkey I then let it cool and pulled it from the bones. Setting it aside I further reduced the broth. At the point I was ready to finish dinner I added a package of Uncle Bens Long Grain and Wild Rice mix, added the turkey and then turned the slow cooker back on for an additional hour. The end results was Excellant. Both my husband and I really enjoyed this meal.
