The same thing happened to me as Susan in Dallas. Mine didn't come out smooth either. Still in crock pot so, we will see what happens.

Simple and Easy to make! Wonderful with ice cream! Family totally loved and enjoyed it, including my 3 year old niece who mixed the cake and ice cream together and called it mud!

This cake was simple to make and it was cool to see it come together in the crock pot. The sauce that forms is fun. The taste was good, not great. Ice cream is a definate must.

This cake sounded delicious. When I made it, I followed the directions. It came out burnt. There was no sauce. It was complete rubber. I will never make this cake again.

I have made this a couple of times and everyone loved it -- with ice cream or whipped cream. Up to the time I saw this recipe, I had always made the Pudding Cake in the oven -- also absolutely delicious.

Made this yesterday! Super Simple! My kids and husband loved it! My slow cooker cooked it a little faster then 2 hours, so just adjust the time to your cooker. I doubled the recipe for family that was over and put it in my 6 Qt Cooker, it worked great and everyone enjoyed! My family was so suprised it was made in a slow cooker while I made dinner!

Made this for my sisters birthday and it came out delish! I made a double batch since my crock pot is bigger than the recipe called for, and I believe it was completely cooked in 2 hours. Next time I will try picking the cake up with 2 forks or 2 spatula's to put onto a platter OR just cutting the cake in half making it all the easier in removing from the crock pot, onto a plate, then just pouring the sauce over the cake and seams where you cut. But yesterday I just scooped out potions for everyone and people still ohhh'd and awhhhh'd !!! Will definately make again.

I made this tonight for dessert and everyone loved it. I made the cake part with Splenda instead of sugar and it came out just fine. Thank you for the recipe and my family can't wait for me to make it again! :)
