Expert Tips

You can substitute frozen cranberry-orange sauce for the shelf-stable type. Just thaw before using.

These meatballs are great to bring to a gathering. Just place them in the slow cooker and plug them in when you get to your destination. You're ready to go without using the host’s precious oven space!

Another sauce to try I have made for a while now that everyone likes is 1 can of cranberry sauce and a small bottle of ketchup. Combine the two in a crockpot then add little smokies or meatballs which ever you like to simmer for couple hrs.

I have used this recipe for four years, and I love it. I do substitute some OJ and use regular cranberry sauce. I also like to make the sauce and pour over cocktail weiners and let it simmer in the crockpot. Everyone loves them!!! My favorite Betty Crocker recipe.

These meatballs have been a great hit at all the functions I have brought them to, everyone keeps asking me to bring them. TYhe only change I have made is to use at lease 4oz of cranberry jelly and at lease 3/4 cup of orange juice. I also use turkey meatballs.
