can (16 ounces) baked beans in barbecue sauce

  • 1 In 2 1/2- to 3 1/2-quart slow cooker, mix beef, potato, onion, salt and pepper. Spread beans over beef mixture.
  • 2 Cover and cook on low heat setting 8 to 10 hours or until beef is tender.

My ratings are based on the kids reactions, and this one definitely gets a 5. I have seen several people saying theirs burnt, and I think some people are cooking it way too long. 8 hours should be more than enough. I would also recommend trying different flavors of beans with it. I used Maple Brown Sugar flavored. Even better, it tastes good heated up the next day too.

I tried to make this dish yesterday. I followed the recipe and set up the crock pot. In less than 8 hrs, it was burned. I made it for my husband since i was going to be working real late. He didnt have the heart to tell me it burnt before he even got home.
